Arion

Notebook M p.163 ‘Arion, with a common fiddle, and a cap ending in a long porbuscis like horn he is on his dolphin drawn at p 28 palace book’. Possible readings are ‘lift of the bow’, or if attention is focussed on the face the manuscript could be read as ‘lift of the brow’ Notebook M p.163 is similarly unclear, though the word ‘bow’ is used in the published version at Works, 10.393.
