The manuscript reads ‘saved’, not ‘served’ as in the Ruskin Library Transcript T7A. The reference is to the Prophet seeking refuge in a cave. Spiders made webs and pigeons nested at the entrance to the cave giving the impression that it was empty and undisturbed. The page references here do not seem to be to Lindsay.
