This passage begins at the bottom of Notebook M p.45 and continues into Notebook M p.46. Sheet No. 19 is dated 19th November, and presumably comes before this passage. In the passage dated November 23rd starting at Notebook M p.47 Ruskin proposes an answer to some of the problems posed here. These pages seem to define the beginning of Ruskin’s classification of arches into orders: 1st order, 2nd order, 3rd order, 4th order, 5th order and 6th order.
