The passage reads as if Ruskin did not know the identity of the door when the note was first written, and that the page heading was written after he had identified it as part of the Abbazia di San Gregorio attached to the church of San Gregorio, near the Salute at Dorsduro 172, Nadali & Vianello (1999) Tav. 51.
