The reference seems to be not to M2 but to the yellow paper of St M[arks] Book.Front pastedown and St M[arks] Book.Front free endpaper recto, the content of which does seem to tally with the last paragraph of this page. It seems likely that Ruskin had St. Marks Book open as he was writing this page of M2.
