This word - read as ‘thummys’ in the Ruskin Library Transcript T7B - is unclear in the manuscript. As this is the tomb of Giovanni Delfino/Dolfino then perhaps the word is ‘thunnys’, a reading of the three dolphins of the Dolfino arms as tuna fish. Compare Notebook M p.181 on ‘thunnies’. On the Delfino/Dolfino Tomb see Gothic Book p.19; Works, 11.95; Works, 11.217.
