The passage from the ‘Supposta di Zancaruol’ used at Works, 11.250 is perhaps what was on the torn out part of Notebook M2 p.38, opposite the note of the title at Notebook M2 p.38L.
‘Zancaird’ is the reading of The Ruskin Library Transcript T7B. Zancaruol, here with the ‘u’, seems to be what Ruskin wrote. The reference is presumably to Gasparo Zancaruol, Cronaca di Venezia fino al 1446.
