‘Attic’ is inserted in the published text at Works, 9.471, with reference presumably to the classical Attic base:

The Attic base, as defined by Vitruvius and by Palladio, has a fillet below the shaft. Below the fillet is the convex form of a torus or ‘cushion’. Below that the concave form is the ‘scotia’, and below that is another torus. The plinth is at the bottom.
