The comment ‘(Note: This page is all erased.)’ has been added by the transcriber c. 1910. There are two different kinds of erasure on this page. The first paragraph and the paragraph beginning ‘I must examine therefore’ are struck through horizontally. Then, presumably at some later date Ruskin put wavy vertical lines through the whole page. All is left clearly legible, even the words in the third line which have not yet been deciphered.
