‘superior’ is the reading of the Ruskin Library Transcript T7B, and is not impossible as a reading of the manuscript. However the third letter looks more like ‘f’ than ‘p’, and, although the dotting for the ‘i’ is very light, the first two letters could as well be read ‘in’ as ‘su’. The context suggests ‘inferior’ as the better reading.
