The drawing of the tower, unlike the diagrams at the top of the page, appears to have been made at Edinburgh. The tower drawings on the preceding left hand page Notebook M2 p.184L were perhaps drawn after this one to illustrate what Ruskin perceived to be wrong with the Edinburgh College tower.
