This passage is referred to in Ruskin’s Index under ‘Old Plan’. Presumably the reference is to Notebook M2 p.37 as a plan for a chapter on the Ducal palace. The term ‘Old Plan’ is used on Notebook M2 p.137 to refer, it seems, to a physical plan of the Ducal Palace, perhaps the plan referred to on Notebook M2 p.18.
