Burgos

Burgos cathedral was influenced by Bourges in its initial design, but ‘transformed’ during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries (see Welander) and for an image see here.

See Ruskin’s comment at Works, 12.41 where he refers to the ‘vicious style’ which turns the spire into ‘an ornamental excrescence’.
