The reading ‘Angel’ seems better than ‘Angle’, the reading of the Ruskin Library Transcript T7B. The reference is to Sansovino (1663) p.295, referring to the height of the campanile to the Angel set at the top: ‘il questo Angelo posto in cima l’anno 1517’.
