Meeting at night

Task C - our comments

a voice less loud

/ə vɔɪs les lɑʊd/

The /l/ alliteration in 'less loud' involves very little obstruence, and so could possibly be seen to be onomatopoeic of the whispering alluded to, which must be less loud than the noise the match makes. Note that whispering actually involves devoicing all the consonants, whether they are normally voiced or not, and all the vowels (all vowelsare not normally voiced).
