'The falcon hath borne my make away!' has the following grammatical structure: subject, verb, object adverbial. This is the most normal order of elements in clauses in English. The three clauses of the first verse have the same grammatical structure. The verb is the also same in each clause ('bare' = carried) and is lexically the same as the verb in the refrain. The subject of the three clauses in the first stanza ('he') is the same and refers to the subject of the last line of the refrain (the falcon), and the object ('him') is also the same and refers back to 'my make' in the refrain. Lexically, then, it is in the adverbials (in this case prepositional phrases) that change occurs. This set of changes seems to mark a set of stages in a progression, or journey, to a final destination (up - down - into an orchard brown) which appears to be a more detailed specification of the adverbial in the refrain ('away').
