His first book, Another Roadside Attraction was published in 1971. His second book, Even Cowgirls get the Blues, came out in 1976. The book was adapted for the screen in 1993 by Gus Van Sant (Drugstore Cowboy, My Own Private Idaho), starring Uma Thurman. Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas (1994) was Robbins's first book to make it onto the New York Times best-seller list. |
