Firbank Fell

‘Fox’s Pulpit’ is under the yellow marker in the cluster at the centre of the map. If you zoom in to full magnification you can see the wall round the original chapel yard (the chapel itself blew down in the early nineteenth century), and the rocky outcrop which is traditionally said to be his ‘pulpit’, with our suggested ‘auditorium’ to the east.
The new church is on the other side of the Fell to the east. Travel due east and you are at Draw-Well, home of John and Ann Blaykling.
From Firbank Fell Fox travelled south-south-west to Crosslands Farm, home of John Audland, before moving on to Preston Patrick (proceed further along the same line).
