This lecture discusses the development of implant technologies, including invasive interfaces to control the body, objects and devices, and microchips with embedded records, sensors and positioning devices. It discusses the therapeutic, security and enhancement puposes for which these technologies can be used, and what the implications might be for individual and social well-being.
