The materials (tasks, rating scales, the interlocutor's frame) have all been piloted in Hungarian schools with Hungarian students.
• Modern English Examinations Teacher Training (60 hours)

This course helps teachers understand the principles of modern testing and learn about testing techniques to be used in the classroom and in examinations. Participants will learn how language skills can be tested and what task types are suitable. Outline
• Assessing Speaking
(Intermediate -30 hours OM 173/80/2005, Advanced Levels -30 hours OM 173/79/2005)
These courses help teachers develop skills of conducting oral exams and of assessing Speaking performances by using analytic rating scales. The skills that they develop are transferable, i.e. can be used in the preparation of students for modern English examinations as well as the new érettségi. Teachers will receive guidance on how to write good Speaking tasks. Outline
• Assessing Writing
(Intermediate -30 hours OM 173/72/2005, Advanced Levels -30 hours OM 173/71/2005)
These courses help teachers develop skills of assessing students' scripts by using analytic rating scales. The skills that they develop are transferable, i.e. can be used in the preparation of students for modern English examinations as well as the new érettségi. The courses also help teachers develop Writing tasks and their students' Writing skills. Outline
• Assessing Receptive Skills (30 hours OM 173/81/2005)
This course helps teachers understand the principles of modern testing and learn about how Reading, Listening and Use of English can be tested and what task types are suitable. The skills that participants develop can be used in classroom testing and for preparing students for modern English examinations as well as the new érettségi. Outline
