The Work Package will compare the policy visions and 'street-level' realities of both electric vehicles and electric two-wheelers in China, focusing on Shanghai and Shenzhen, and the prospects for each of these to disrupt or even dominate the burgeoning growth of urban automobility in China. Dennis has considerable research experience on issues of mobility, practices and politics, and will also be making use of his fluent Mandarin in the fieldwork.
