The 2025 Sustainable Futures Volunteering Fair, hosted by Lancaster University Careers and Employability Service, will showcase a wide range of voluntary opportunities for students with a focus on sustainability, social justice, community impact and an opportunity to network with student societies.

The Sustainable Futures Volunteering Fair will showcase a wide range of opportunities for students with a focus on sustainability, social justice, and community impact. Our goal is to inspire students to take action for a better world while providing local organisations with a platform to engage passionate and dedicated volunteers. These employability events are normally very popular before with our students at this time of year for those seeking paid Part-time and voluntary roles.

The fair is an excellent opportunity to meet a range of local, regional and national Volunteering organisations and network with Societies, if you are looking to boost your employability skills in 2025 and beyond.

The Volunteering Fair will take place on Thursday 6th March, from 14:00 to 16:00 within the fully accessible Learning Zone (located here), in the centre of campus where we held our particularly successful Careers Expo and Volunteering fair in June 2024.

Inclusivity: We want to make sure this event is welcoming and a benefit to all our students. If you have any concerns at all about visiting and taking part in this event on the day, and would like to speak to someone from Careers before the event, do please contact careers@lancaster.ac.uk - At the event itself, please ask our ambassadors or to speak to a member of staff one to one if you prefer so we can help in any way.

The event is open to all students to attend who are looking to positively contribute to society and boost their employability in a range of sectors. We realise the benefits of volunteering as a way for individuals to enhance their skills set and furthermore improve their wellbeing. Volunteering is also a valuable component for those undertaking the Lancaster Award with Careers.

We have a range of organisations confirmed including Lancaster District Community and Voluntary Solutions (LDCVS), The Dukes, Bay International Film Festival, RSPB Haweswater, LUSU Green and more!

We really hope that you will consider joining us at this event. All students can book and register to attend via Careers Connect.
