Event Details

Join artists and designers for a weekend of free workshops, immersive experiences and demonstrations exploring the intersection of art, design and technology.

Digital Design Weekend returns on 20, 21 and 22 September with immersive experiences, interactive installations, robotics, creative electronics, talks and family-friendly activities taking place around the museum.

This new edition of the festival gathers 25 exhibitors for a weekend of free workshops, interactive installations and demonstrations exploring themes at the intersection of art, design, and technology.

Generation Fix by Imagination Design Research Lab, Lancaster University and The Making Rooms Blackburn. Venue: Lunchroom, Learning Centre.

Generation Fix designs creative, educational tools to accelerate digital circular economy education. Join the team to build ‘Re:Play’, a hands-on game repair toolkit designed to teach essential electronics fixing skills, and enter the interactive game world ‘RepairLand’ to find the best way to fix a smart device.

Events are free and drop-in, but places for some are limited, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Most events are suitable for all ages. Last entry 30 minutes before event closing time.
