Mature male gametes produced by the testis and consisting of a head containing a haploid nucleus and an macro dome allowing sperm to penetrate the egg at fertilisation, a middle part containing mitochondria to generate the energy for movement, and a tail piece of locomotory flagella to drive the sperm forward.
