Iterative cycle of construction

Aniteration is, literally, a repetition of a particular operation or process thatbuilds upon the results of the preceding operation or process.  An iteration canalso be viewed as a cycle, in that it takes some sort of starting point,performs an operation on that starting point to obtain a particular result,which is then used as the starting point for the next iteration, again leadingto a particular result and so forth.  Constructive activities can be defined as iterativecycles, because the result of a preceding activity is used as the startingpoint for the next activity.  Iterative cycles of constructive processes canlead to stability, which implies that the result of a particular constructiveoperation is used as the input of a next constructive operation that produces aresult that is identical to its input.  The notion of iterative cycles thusallows one to understand stability as an active and dynamical process thatallows the agent to counteract perturbations that might destroy a particularstructure if its stability was not maintained in an active and dynamic way.\\
