The Department's Priory Lecture 2021 will be given Rev Dr. Rachel Mann, in Lancaster Priory. Her title will be: ‘‘The flesh that needs to be loved’ - the power and beauty of bodies in a time of pandemic.’

Rachel Mann is a priest, poet, writer and broadcaster. Author of 12 books, her writing has been called ‘exceptional’ (Rowan Williams), ‘astonishing’ (Michael Symmons Roberts’ and ‘perceptive’ (The TLS). Her debut novel, The Gospel of Eve, was called ‘page-turning’ (The Telegraph) and ‘clever, subtle and dark’ (The Tablet).
