Directions to George Fox

The George Fox building is located next to George Fox Avenue on Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, and is accessible via foot-path from the “South Spine” pathway that connects the vast majority of south campus. The campus has been designed to be as accessible as possible, with wheel-chair accessible ramps present across all major foot-paths and elevator access present within all buildings, but do please contact a member of staff for the event should you require any additional support for the event or while present on campus.

Travel to Lancaster University

By Car

Lancaster University is accessible by car via the M6 motorway through junction 33 or 34, though it is highly recommended to travel in via junction 33 (Galgate), as junction 34 incurs longer travel times as this requires travel through Lancaster city centre.

If using an online route planner or satnav, the main University postcode is LA1 4YW

Important Notes for Attendees planning to travel by car:

On-site parking during the event is available anywhere on campus.

Attendees must collect a free parking pass from the registration desk upon arrival to display in their vehicle.

It is therefore highly recommended that you plan your journey to arrive ahead of time for the conference in the event that delays are encountered during your travel, or to procure suitable accommodation either on-site or off-site to Lancaster University to ensure that the commuting time onto campus to the George Fox Building is minimised as much as possible.

This parking permit must be visibly displayed within the vehicle that you wish to park on Lancaster University Campus for the duration of your stay. For the convenience of attendees, this parking permit will be valid across the campus rather than being limited to any specific car park.
