Lancaster academic addresses Islamic University of Gaza

Professor Paul Ashwin (Educational Research) delivered a keynote address via Skype this week, to the Islamic University of Gaza on perspectives on Teaching Excellence in Higher Education.
This was part of a symposium organised as part of a project run by Tampere University, Finland, who organised a 6-month training of trainers "Teaching and Learning in Higher Education" for 16 IUG teachers. Those trainers then developed a shorter 60-hour local training "Excellence in Higher Education Skills" for 75 trainees from IUG and other Gazan universities (Aug-Oct 2019).
Paul’s keynote focussed on unhelpful myths of teaching excellence and taking a scholarly approach to teaching excellence
