The potential of technology to personalise education has been suggested for over 70 years. However, despite often bold claims, evidence of real-world impact is mixed, especially at scale.

Accelerated by the emergence of generative artificial intelligence (GAI), it is important to critically examine the interaction between technology and personalised learning. This presentation draws on existing studies and in-process research to consider: How can personalised learning with (GAI) technology be conceptualised? What does the evidence say? What might be appropriate strategies for future educational design and practice?

This event is part of the Educational Research Seminar Series.
