Research Overview

As a first-year EPSRC-funded PhD student, my research focuses on the vulnerability of older adults to deception when using new technologies. Specifically, I am analysing the effectiveness of interventions designed to detect misinformation and assessing how well they work for older populations. My goal is to identify strategies that enhance older adults’ ability to navigate and use technology in their daily lives but also protect them from risks such as disinformation. I aim to contribute to the development of supportive tools and approaches that empower older adults to engage with technology safely and confidently.
