Alan Smith is Project Officer for CUIDAR: Cultures of Disaster Resilience Among Children and Young People, based in the department of Sociology. This is a European funded Horizon 2020 project working in partnership with UK, Spain, Greece, Portugal and Italy. The CUIDAR project aim is to enhance the resilience of children, young people and urban societies to disasters and enable disaster responders to meet children and young people’s needs more effectively.
