Lancaster University Creative Studio Manager, Steve Thomas, and Senior Designer, Jon Geddes, have been awarded Association of Creative and Print Managers in Education (ACPME) Awards.

The ACPME Awards recognise the achievements and successes of creative and print professionals within the UK Higher and Further Education sectors.

Steve Thomas won the Best In-house Photography Award category for his ‘Twelve Days in Chongqing’ exhibition. The exhibition, hosted at the Lancaster University Confucius Institute earlier this year, was praised by the award judges for its “high-quality execution and presentation of prints,” the judges said Steve’s “passion for the subject was evident.”

Jon Geddes won the Team Member of the Year Award. The award judges commented: “Jon goes above and beyond to support every member of the team through all aspects of the department,” he is “clearly highly respected and valued.”

The ACPME is a network of creative and print managers from UK universities and colleges. It provides a platform for support, sharing knowledge, and opportunities to network with creatives from other institutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of creative and print services in the education sector.

The ACPME Annual Conference and Awards is an opportunity for its members to come together to learn from industry experts, explore the latest industry products and services and celebrate achievements.

Steve said: “We have been members of the ACPME for many years. It’s an amazing support framework for members who work in the creative and print sector in higher education.”
