College Space

We have a number of spaces in the College available for you to use!

County Common Room

County Common Room is the perfect place to chill out or work in groups. The room has sofas, seating areas, and even a large-screen TV with an HDMI input, perfect for group work or events. If you would like to book the Common Room for exclusive use, please email county@lancaster.ac.uk.

County Bar (The Northern Oak)

Recently refurbished, County Bar is a great place to socialise and study. There is also a large selection of books - feel free to take some time out of your day to enjoy them.

County Games Room

Right next to County Bar, students can enjoy playing pool, darts, and table tennis and table football in the County Games Room. In addition, if you’re a fan of snooker, here at County we’re the only college with its very own full-size Snooker table. To access the snooker room, located in County Main, you can purchase a £5.00 annual membership.

County Corner

County Corner is our brand-new space. Cosy and welcoming, it is a perfect relaxed, quiet space for revision, with free tea and coffee provided.

County Study Room

The County Study Room is a perfect area to get your head down and get some studying done. The room has a sofa, seating areas, and even a piano and is a popular space with students living off-campus.

Student Kitchen

Students living off-campus can make a drink or heat up their lunch in our Student Kitchen, complete with fridge, microwave, kettle, sink, and utensils.

PC Lab

With 18 PCs and printing available 24/7, our PC Lab is a very popular quiet study space, especially in the lead-up to exams!

Launderettes

County has two laundry rooms – one near the Porter’s Lodge in County Main and one in County South.
