Professor Jinghan Zeng, Director of Lancaster University Confucius Institute (again) ranked among the World's Top 2% Scientists

Jinghan Zeng, Professor of China and International Studies at Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion at Lancaster University and Director of Lancaster University Confucius Institute is again listed in the world’s top 2% of scientists in 2022. The ranking was co-published by Stanford University and Elsevier. It used citations from Scopus and assessed scientists for their career-long citation (1996–2021) and single-year citation (1996–2021) impact within their disciplines.

Professor Zeng was listed for “single year impact” in the subfields of “political science & public administration” and “international relations” https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/4. This is the second year in a row for this ranking to recognize Professor Zeng’s contribution to the fields.

Professor Zeng is the author of Artificial Intelligence with Chinese Characteristics: National Strategy, Security and Authoritarian Governance (2022), Slogan Politics: Understanding Chinese Foreign Policy Concepts (2020), The Chinese Communist Party's Capacity to Rule: Ideology, Legitimacy and Party Cohesion (2015) and over twenty-five refereed articles on Chinese politics.
