Lancaster University Confucius Institute’s contribution to the Staff Celebration Day

On Saturday 25th June 2022, Lancaster University held a fun staff celebration day for all members of university staff and their families. There were a variety of events that took place on Lancaster Square.


As the Roundhouse is situated in the centre of Lancaster Square, the Lancaster University Confucius Institute team held some activities, including a Chinese language taster session, Chinese lantern making and calligraphy. Visiting Scholar Dr. Jingyu Luo played the guzheng. In addition to this, Northern Dragons came to perform lion dances for the crowds.


The staff celebration event was a great success, with many people commenting on how much they enjoyed the activities provided by the Lancaster University Confucius Institute team. Lancaster University Vice-Chancellor, Andy Schofield, wrote a personal letter to the Lancaster University Confucius Institute team to thank them for their hard work and contributions during the staff celebration day.
