The Marketplace

The Marketplace is a relaxed space with food available from the onsite kitchen, and cabaret seating for up to 60 guests attending informal meetings and presentations.

An ideal setting for refreshments, event attendees can use The Marketplace as a break space with comfortable sofas and seating areas.

The venue operates as a breakfast and lunch outlet for the University, and can also be hired for conference and event delegates to split up their busy itinerary, with refreshments and catering facilities, informal meetings, and presentations.

The Marketplace Venue Capacity

The Marketplace provides cabaret seating for up to 60 guests. The space can also be divided with a portable partition wall.

Directions to The Marketplace

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 33 and take the A6 north towards Lancaster.

For The Marketplace turn left at the roundabout at the top of the main University driveway.  Follow the road down past the security lodge and keep going until you reach the visitor parking on North Drive where the woodland trail begins.

We recommend that delegates use Visitor Car Parking Zones A, B or C when visiting The Marketplace. 

If you are on our day delegate or 24 hour residential package, free car parking permits can be collected from your Event Coordinator on arrival. Alternatively, the parking is pay and display and cards are accepted.

The Marketplace can be found in the Blue Zone on the campus map and is marked by the letters COS.
