Hilary Barraclough, Head of Business Development & Academic Events Services at Lancaster University Conferences & Events+ has been awarded the Academic Venue Solutions (AVS) Long Service award.

The award recognises exceptional commitment to the conference and events industry over a significant period.

AVS award judges commented: “Hilary is a fantastic ambassador for both her institution and AVS and is always keen to put her hand up to join any number of focus groups and activities that will add to the success of the venues she works for. She is huge amounts of fun, straight talking, supportive of her colleagues and a great believer and leader in the sustainability efforts at her institution. She is passionate about the industry and in particular sales and business development. She is a pleasure to work with on exhibition stands and is a true professional.”
