An assortment of batteries

The Batlab facilities are run by Dr Yan Zhang, who would be happy to provide support and help with the execution of academic and industrial project research in the battery fields.

All battery facilities are currently located in A64, Faraday building and Batlab containers, EX2 service yard of Science and Technology Building, and we have a wide range of experimental equipment available for use within the labs.

Our facilities

BaSyTec-CTS with Keysight 34970 DAQ

Location: BatLab

BaSyTec-CTS with Keysight 34970 DAQ with the current range 6V/0.001A-5A can provide 24 channels. These can be connected with Julabo thermal bath (Si oil) climate controllers in a range of temperature between -40°C and 180°C, allowing for entropy and thermodynamic profiling testing for GITT, plus temperature modulation.

BaSyTec-CTS with Keysight 34970 DAQ

BaSyTec-X50 and BaSyTec-CTS Battery test channels

Location: BatLab

  • BaSyTec-X50 with a current range of 6V/0.05A-50A can provide 12 channels, which can be connected with ESPEC climate chamber controllers temperatures between -40°C and 100°C.
  • BaSyTec-CTS with the current range 6V/0.001A-5A can provide 64 channels, with 32 channels connected with Memmert climate chamber controllers in temperatures between -5°C and 80°C, 16 channels with Binder controllers between -10°C and 60°C, and 12 with ESPEC controllers in temperatures between -40°C and 100°C.
BaSyTec-X50 and BaSyTec-CTS

Batterydynamic-HPC10

Location: BatLab

Batterydynamic-HPC10 with the current range 6V/0.001A-10A can provide 8 channels, which can be connected with a Julabo thermal bath (Si oil) climate controller in temperatures between -40°C and 180°C, allowing for high-precision charge counting channels for coulombic efficiency and end-point-slippage.

Location: BatLab

The Biologic BCS-815 has a current range 6V/0.001A-15A and can provide 8 channels that can be connected with Memmert climate chamber controllers in temperatures between -5°C and 80°C.

Glove Box (MBRAUN)

Location: Faraday Building A64

Our MBRAUN Glove Boxes can offer post-mortem cell analysis, and coin cell assembly/disassembly, and have a hydraulic crimper, weighing balance, and vacuum sealer.
