We know that budgets are tighter than ever, and that schools are being asked to achieve more with less. So we understand that not all schools can afford the kind of specialised equipment that makes such a big difference in introducing students to chemistry.
Our range of masterclasses offer students in Years 12 and 13 the chance to experience first-hand what learning in our multi-million-pound facilities is really like. As well as working on some exciting and engaging areas of chemistry, your group can meet some of our students, learn from our academics and get their first taste of life on campus at Lancaster University.
Lancaster University is delighted to host several regional chemistry events, which not only get students at a range of Key Stages stuck into chemistry, but also lead to wider national competitions.
The Chemistry Department have organised 45 minute talks, based on the teaching and research that is currently taking place within the Department, offering a great opportunity for A level (or equivalent) students to gain an insight into the experience of studying an undergraduate degree in Chemistry.
