Music in Cartmel

Cartmel College has a vibrant music scene. We pride ourselves in providing students with both exciting live music opportunities, a dedicated practice space and a SCR Music Co-ordinator.

Our goal is to create an environment where students can socialise, collaborate, learn, grow, and relax.

We have lots of live music in Barker House Farm throughout the year. But we're always looking for new acts and ideas, so if you're a band or artist and would like an opportunity to play a gig with us or have an idea for an event, please contact us on cartmelmusic@lancaster.ac.uk

Music Room

Cartmel College Music Room

We understand the importance of providing a space for students to explore their musical passions and escape the pressures of academic life. Our college practice space is located close to the College Manager's office and is free to use for any student across the University.

The room is equipped with a piano, keyboard, electric drum kit, electric and acoustic guitars, a bass guitar, and other instruments that are available for you to use while inside. You can also bring your own instruments in with you too of course.

We are committed to continuing to make improvements to the music room based on feedback from our students so please contact cartmelmusic@lancaster.ac.uk if you have any suggestions.
