College Membership

All students, both resident students and commuter students, become members of a college when they join Lancaster University. Each college has a range of facilities and delivers a programme of activities and events, all with the aim of providing an environment that enhances study, recreation and personal development, as well a support network provided by staff. To help deliver these aims, each student is charged a one-off membership fee when they join the University.

STANDARD MEMBERSHIP £40

All undergraduate members of Bowland will be charged £40. This one-off fee covers the membership charge for the full period of an undergraduate degree.

EXCHANGE MEMBERSHIP £15

A fee of £15 will apply for visiting students joining Bowland College for an academic year or any part of an academic year.

Your College Membership Fee invoice is automatically generated once you have completed the University registration process. This invoice will be visible in the Payment Portal alongside invoices for tuition and accommodation fees.
