2.15 Continuity and limits

We can express the definition of continuity more formally in terms of limits.

Continuity

A real function ff is said to be continuous at bb if f(x)f(b)f(x)\rightarrow f(b) as xb.x\rightarrow b. The limit limxbf(x)\lim_{x\rightarrow b}f(x) exists and equals f(b)f(b).
