subtext is an independent email newsletter for those working or studying at Lancaster University

subtext is designed:

• to be an alternative source of information about University governance and politics
• to be a forum for opinions and debate about the future of the University
• to enhance a sense of community and collegiality among members of the University
• to encourage a culture of questioning and speaking out
• to demonstrate that, even in the context of the modern university, one can freely express opinions without fear of backlash

The first issue of subtext was circulated in December 2005.
