New journal highlights latest teaching and learning advancements

A new publication showcases advances in teaching and learning being researched and implemented within Lancaster University Management School.

Scholarship Matters is the first journal from the Centre for Scholarship and Innovation in Management Education (SIME).

The inclusive publication features diverse authors from across Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) – those in teaching and research roles, colleagues in professional services, and contributors from Lancaster University partner institutions.

Neil Ralph, Editor-in-Chief of Scholarship Matters, and a member of SIME, said: “Scholarship Matters gives us a platform to communicate our research, share the examples of best practice that we have developed across LUMS, and demonstrate the value of scholarship of teaching and learning in developing impactful pedagogies.”

Professor Radka Newton, Director SIME added: “All of our members are passionate about advancing the way we learn and teach in Higher Education. This journal features a wonderful wealth of examples of that desire in practice.”

SIME are holding an official online launch for the Scholarship Matters journal on Wednesday, May 29th, between 9.15am and 10am.

It will provide an opportunity to meet the editors and authors and find out more about the centre’s work.
